Smooth check-in, late check-out. Amazing and beautiful location for Funchal, just off a host great traditional eateries serving Madeira fair which is tasty, the Cliff Bay after several years travelling in other locations and bars and restaurants with taxis cheap.

The room was exceptional, with smoke detectors and excellent views to the garden and also the sea. We walked everywhere, the location was super, down as far as the outside pools at the side of the sea. Moreover, it was adjacent to the 2 Michelin Star restaurant, the Il Gallo d'Oro and about a 20/30 minute walk to town.

Accommodation was big and wonderful with superbly friendly staff from the cleaner to the management. The breakfast was served in the terrace and the food was well presented. The location was amazing - short walk to a restaurant called Santo Antonio in the next village, a conservatory and outside dining with the most amazing sea views to start the day, and the center of Funchal for free. I ate at the Michelin star rated restaurant near the hotel.

superior hotel with warm breakfast. it had a personal safe, central heating and a dvd player in the rooms, enjoyed that. we were surprised by the rose garden too. every time in funchal we stay in this property.
